Servicing an air conditioner involves cleaning the filters of the air conditioner, checking the unit for any rust and ensuring that the correct amount of gas is in the cooling system. This is the only way in which air conditioners can run optimally. Often, air conditioners are not performing at their peak because they have not been properly maintained. Ideally, an air conditioner should be serviced once a year. If the unit is placed in a more corrosive environment, such as on a beach front area, then the air conditioner will need to be serviced more often.
